Tastes and Sounds of the Valleys Reception - $75/person, kick off the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Week in style with unique food and music from the Roanoke and New River Valleys at our reception in the Crystal Ballroom of Hotel Roanoke on August 24, 2011 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Help introduce our Valleys to the world, as we celebrate our growing place in the global community!  As a participant, you are guaranteed to make new friends in other countries, expand your personal network, and celebrate entrepreneurship.

Global Student Challenge Presentations - FREE, is available to a limited number of full-time university students and other attendees who desire to attend the Global Student Challenge Presentations at the Dumas Center on August 25, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (lunch is not included).  In order to attend, click on the "Register" button above and follow the steps to checkout.

Host families are needed for the Global Partnership Week to provide lodging, some meals, and rides to international students the week of August 21-27, 2011 who will attend our event and compete in the Global Student Challenge for the $25,000 grand prize! Host families will be included in several of the celebratory meals throughout the week.  Please reply to info@vtkwglobal.com if you are interested in serving as a host family and to learn more about the commitments involved.
