The VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership is an ongoing, cooperative association of regions building permanent social and academic relationships with each other, honoring their mutual best interests. Members of the partnership gather annually for a Global Partnership Event hosted by VT KnowledgeWorks, Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, Virginia Tech, and citizens and businesses of the Roanoke-Blacksburg region.
The Seventh Annual Global Partnership Week has expanded to include a two-day trip to Washington D.C., August 11-13, 2016. Student teams and faculty/staff participating in the Student Track and University Track respectively, in conjunction with the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Event, will have the opportunity to experience Washington D.C. through tours and sightseeing trips to museums and monuments. The Global Partnership Event offers elite students teams and university representatives from all over the world a chance to collaborate, form partnerships, build their global networks, and congregate in Roanoke-Blacksburg, Virginia, USA, August 13-20, 2016.
